Mission

The Abilene Parks and Recreation Department has established a mission to preserve and manage public parks and recreation facilities and to create recreational, cultural, education and leisure opportunities to benefit and enhance the quality of life in this community.

The Abilene Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of sports programs for youth and adults. We also provide educational programs for all ages and various community events for the surrounding community.
